Listen to Clues Games, Language and Vocabulary
Children use their own words to guide one another in selecting the correct picture sequence.
How to play: Choose a game strip and playing card game set by matching their coloured outlines. The speaking child flips a card and gives verbal clues and gestures about the image s/he sees. The listening child points out which image it is on the game strip. At the end of the games, the colour dot symbol on each playing card should be in the same order as the colour dots on the game strip. Once mastered, increase the challenge by limiting the amount or type of words and physical gestures that may be used.
Learning goals: Communication, listening skills, descriptive words, cooperation and teamwork.
