Great range, my six-month old loves his tummy time with touchy feely books from this wonderful shop. I have purchased books for friends’ children in the past and my gifts are still cherished today.

I LOVE reading and I love buying books. I have bought books from The Children’s Bookshop for many years, first for friends and family, and then for my own children. They stock not just books (though that is definitely the highlight), but games, puzzles, gift ideas… and a wonderful selection of books for readers of all ages and stages.

I loved this place as a kid growing up in Christchurch. It was always one of the must-visit shops in town when I was with my Grandma. I would love to see the new place when you open, bring my son, and show him the wonderment of this fabulous shop.

Amazing to find this shop again. I used to visit a lot when they were in Victoria Street but hadn’t realised they had reopened. What a fantastic space! Light, airy, and fantastically stocked! Nothing is too much trouble for the people who work there and I can’t wait to return to pick up the book I ordered. We will be back!
